HOUSE ON HAUNTED HILL
Synopsis
Billionaire Frederick Loren is a master manipulator, and his latest “social experiment” is his most dangerous yet. Along with his wife, Annabelle, he invites five strangers to spend one night inside a notorious haunted mansion. The prize: one million dollars each—if they survive until morning.
The guest list is a curated cross-section of modern desperation: Maya, a wannabe influencer desperate for her breakthrough moment; Lance, a college athlete whose career-ending injury destroyed his scholarship and his future; Liz, a journalist willing to do anything for a headline; Dr. Trent, a parapsychologist seeking proof of the afterlife; and Miss Watson, whose family has served as caretakers of the house since it was built—and who may know more about its dark history than she's willing to share.
At midnight, the doors lock and the game begins. What starts as sophisticated parlor tricks escalates into visceral terror as the house unleashes its violent past. Trapped together, the guests must confront both genuine supernatural forces and each other's willingness to betray, manipulate, and kill for the money.
In an age where people will do anything for content, clout, and cash, HOUSE ON HAUNTED HILL asks: What's the real price of survival?

The Ghostly Evolution of a Cult Classic
Inspired by the 1959 William Castle cult classic starring Vincent Price, House on Haunted Hill made its professional debut in 2023 at Kismet Performing Artists' Theater, under the direction of Kathleen Kellaigh. This premiere served as a vital workshop for the script, capturing the chilling atmosphere and mechanical tension required for a modern horror stage-play.
Building on the success of the Kismet run, the script has since undergone a series of meticulous revisions to sharpen its pacing and expand its accessibility. These updates have already proven successful in the field, with the play being licensed and performed by several high school drama departments—demonstrating its versatility for both professional ensembles and educational theater.
